Study Abroad

Students enrolled at an overseas university or college can spend either a semester or a year studying at the University of Aberdeen. As a Study Abroad student, you will study alongside our regular degree-seeking students and earn credits towards your degree at your home university.

With over 50 subjects on offer spanning the Arts, Social Sciences, Business, Law, Medicine, Science and Engineering, you’re sure to find a great choice of classes to meet your individual academic requirements. You can find a listing of courses in our online Course Catalogue at www.abdn.ac.uk/registry/courses

Study Abroad students usually take between two and four courses per semester. Our year is divided into semesters with exams at the end of each semester. Your workload will be measured in credit points. 60-70 credits per semester make up a full academic load. After the completion of your studies, your home university will be issued a transcript with a suggested conversion scale.
