Established in 1898, the Garden features numerous varieties of plants, including a rose garden, arboretum, lawns and ponds stretching over 11 acres.

The entrance to the Cruickshank Botanic Garden is located on the Chanonry, across from the rear of the Old Townhouse.

The Garden is open to staff and students of the University, as well as members of the public, free of charge and is used as a teaching resource for students of Natural History at the University.
