University of Aberdeen up six places in Times Higher Education world rankings

kings_collegeThe University of Aberdeen has risen six places in the 2015-16 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, increasing its score across all criteria assessed.

The University has gone up six places to 172nd in the world and also remains in the top 30 institutions in the UK.

The THE World University Rankings scored institutions on five different categories – Teaching, Research, Citations, Industry Income and International Outlook and increased its score in every category.

Aberdeen Professor’s composition to be performed for the Pope

The world renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorus will sing Professor Paul Mealor’s ‘Ubi caritas’ in the presence of His Holiness Pope Francis tomorrow (Saturday) as part of His Holiness’s tour of the United States.

Professor Mealor’s work will be performed as part of the Prayer Vigil for Families at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia and broadcast on US public television.
